Makes 1 cocktail
Prep time 5 minutes
Ingredients
4 ounces pure pomegranate juice
1/2-1 ounce rosemary simple syrup (ingredients below)
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1-2 ounces Heritage Distilling Pomegranate Flavored Vodka
1/2 cup crushed ice
Seltzer to top off, or use champagne for an extra special treat
Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
Fresh pomegranate arils for garnish
Rosemary simple syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
3 sprigs rosemary
Begin by preparing the simple syrup. Bring sugar, water, and rosemary to a boil. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Turn off heat. Allow the rosemary to steep until the syrup cools, then strain the herbs and use in cocktails for up to 3 weeks. Store in the refrigerator.
To make the cocktail, pour the pomegranate juice, simple syrup, lemon juice, and vodka into a tall 12- to 16-ounce glass. Add a 1/2 cup ice and top off with your favorite seltzer (or champagne if you are feeling fancy)! Add a sprig of rosemary to garnish along with pomegranate seeds/arils. Enjoy!
