Required Qualifications:

  • Three or more years proven experience in core selling skills, including negotiation and presentation to individuals and groups, and closing.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to be on feet all day and lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing to travel 50-75% within territory with occasional overnight travel to corporate and other locations.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bartending experience “preferred”.
  • Retail Merchandising “preferred”.

Who we want on our team:

We seek a driven, goal oriented, highly capable self-starter.   This individual will take responsibility for location specific P&L, sales, inventory, and the overall experience of each retail location.   They will work directly with and lead their retail teams to create a memorable customer experience. This individual will possess strong communication, organization and leadership skills, as well as a passion and ability to exceed customer expectations.    

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Tasting Rooms, On-Site Special Events, Production, Operations, Programs, and Compliance.
  • Assume accountability of location specific Profits and Losses.
  • Create a performance culture.
  • Hire and train personnel with guidance and support from department leads.
  • Lead the sales generation for retail locations and keep track of inventory.
  • Upload sales reporting weekly and input end of the month inventory for compliance.  
  • Serve as the Safety Committee Lead. Enforce set standards for daily site conditions.
  • Coordinate with Tasting Room Managers, Special Events Lead and Retail Production Assistant on published employee work schedules.  
  • Manage banking deposits, payroll preparation, and product ordering.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a retail leadership position, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferred.
  • Ability to represent HDC in a professional manner, both in writing and in person.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and service oriented work environment.
  • Obtain MAST 12 Pouring Card and Food Handler’s Permit for WA State.
  • Must be 21 years of age.

Working Conditions:

HDC is a working distillery.   Conditions can range from warm in the summer to cold in the winter. Hours may vary from morning to evening, weekdays and weekends, based on production schedules and special events. Special events may take place off site in varying conditions.

Physical Requirements:

It is expected that the person in this position can tolerate standing for long periods of time and have the ability to lift moderately heavy boxes and carry them up and down stairs. When assisting with production, the tasks may be repetitive in nature.

 

PRODUCTION LINE OPERATOR - GIG HARBOR & eugene

We are looking to fill this role with a full time person to meet increasing production demands.

Job Purpose:
The Production Line Operator works directly with the Production Lead and Bottling Lead. The Bottling
Line Operator deals with filling, packaging, and quality control of all HDC spirits. Our production is
diverse and growing and requires a strong support staff and understanding of the daily operations
within and outside of the distillery. An ideal Bottling Line Operator is flexible and knowledgeable
regarding the many different aspects of production as well as of our company.

An individual who takes personal and professional pride in producing award winning Spirits, with a
strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications:
● Must be able to be on feet all day and lift at least 50 lbs.
● Flexible schedule and availability with prompt and regular attendance when scheduled.
● Upon hiring, must obtain a current state alcohol pouring permit.
● Ability to represent HDC in a professional manner, both in writing and in person.
● Must be 21 years of age.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Takes part in the bottling and packaging process of all HDC Spirits which includes manual and
digital machinery to rinse, label, fill, cap/seal, and package cased product for delivery.
● Gains knowledge and ability to set up, change, clean, and run all equipment used in the bottling
line.
● Interfaces with Production Leadership and takes action with bottling schedules.
● Follows and ensures all quality control measures are met with every single bottle that goes
through the bottling line.
● Utilize HDC’s organizational methods, including database and inventory software.
● Maintain a clean and organized work environment that promotes efficiency and safety.
● Complete other special projects as assigned.

duties for both internal projects and those that serve our customers and clients.
● Ability to address any questions, concerns, or problems to Production Leadership.
● Professionally represent HDC at all times.
