Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pour samples and educate customers about Heritage Distilling Company products in our Tasting Room, and during on and off-site Special Events. Adhere to all State and Federal laws pertaining to the sampling and serving of alcoholic products.
  • Support sales of HDC special programs including Spirits Club, Cask Club and My Batch.
  • Provide HDC Roslyn facility tours as requested.
  • Participate in HDC off-site events as part of set-up and tasting team.
  • Maintain accuracy in cash handling including customer transactions and opening/closing daily shifts in the Point of Sale system.
  • Answer the phone, assist with inventory counts, stock the Tasting Room with products and merchandise, and prepare orders for shipping.  
  • Keep the Tasting Room clean in accordance with set standards, which includes dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, dishes, and wiping windows.  
  • Represent HDC professionally at all times, during both on-site and off-site events.
  • Complete other special projects as assigned.

Expectations:

  • Appropriate dress at all times in the Tasting Room and for Special Events.  
  • Attention to detail and pride in work for both internal tasks and those that directly serve our customers and clients.

Working Conditions:

The Tasting Room Associate position is located in a working distillery.   Conditions can range from warm in the summer to cold in the winter. Hours may vary from morning to evening, weekdays and weekends, based on production schedules and special events. Special events may take place off site in varying conditions.

Physical Requirements:

It is expected that the person in this position can tolerate standing for long periods of time and have the ability to lift moderately heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs.) and carry them up and down stairs. When assisting with production, the tasks may be repetitive in nature.

An ideal Production Assistant is flexible and knowledgeable regarding the many different aspects of production as well as of our company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the process of proofing and blending vodka, gin and whiskey and ensures quality control and flavor profiles consistently meet HDC high standards.
  • Has strong knowledge of production processes and how and when all equipment is used.
  • Knowledgeable of all recipes and flavor profiles for each spirit.
  • Interfaces with Production Leadership and takes action with production and weekly schedules.

regarding the many different aspects of production as well as of our company.

Qualifications:
● Must be able to be on feet all day and lift at least 50 lbs., and meet the very physical demands of the role.
● Flexible schedule and availability with prompt and regular attendance when scheduled.

● Follows and ensures all quality control measures are met with every single bottle that goes
through the bottling line.
