I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t heard of Girls Scout Cookies. And not many of us can resist them! But how many of us know how the whole Girl Scout cookie craze started?
Back in 1922 a sugar cookie recipe was sent out in their seasonal newsletter along with a request to use it as the basis for fundraising. Every one of the 2000 scouts dutifully made at least one batch to sell. From there it quickly became a huge hit. I mean, who can resist a cookie!!!
Interestingly, there has only been one year that the Girl Scouts haven’t sold cookies. It was back in 1942 when WWII rationings of sugar, flour and butter made it impossible. That year they sold calendars. I can’t eat a calendar so Im very happy they went back to COOKIES![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"]

2oz HDC Lemon Vodka
.5oz fresh lemon juice
1T powdered sugar
Run a lemon wedge over the rim of a martini glass and dip in powdered sugar to rim. Shake liquid ingredients over ice. Strain liquid ingredients from the shaker and pour into rimmed martini glass[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_column_text]
Boozy Samoa Latte
2/3C Caramel coffee
2/3C Milk
2oz HDC Coconut Vodka
2T Chocolate Sauce for rimmer
1T Coconut shavings for rimmer
Serve over ice
Dip rim of glass in chocolate sauce and then into coconut for rimmer. Add liquid ingredients and stir. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate sauce[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/2"]

Thin Mint Boozy Milkshake
2 scoops Vanilla Bean Ice cream
2oz HDC Vanilla Vodka
1oz Milk
4 thin mint cookies (3crushed, 1 as garnish)
Crush 3 Thin Mint cookies and put in milkshake glass. Scoop ice cream, add milk and stir with a spoon (may need more than 1oz if its not enough to make it thick and smooth). Once milkshake is made, add HDC Vanilla Vodka and stir until mixed in evenly. 1C hot chocolate
2oz Elk Rider Vodka
Top with marshmallows
Crushed graham cracker rimmer
