The History of the Old Fashioned

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]History of the Old Fashioned

You've probably heard of an Old Fashioned. In fact, if you were a fan of Mad Men's Don Draper I'm sure you have, since it happens to be his drink of choice. However, the Old Fashioned has been around much, much longer than the 1960's of Don Drapers world. And thanks to Don we have seen a renewed interest in this and many other classic cocktails.

Like many cocktails, it started out as a morning remedy for headaches and nausea. Which sounds like a lot more fun than Tylenol and a Tums! It was first seen in a bar back in 1881 where are bartender at a club in Louisville Kentucky created it using whiskey from a local distillery.

Now days it is recognized around the world as an American drink and it just happens to be the most ordered cocktail in the US.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Old Fashioned Cocktail
