Duties and responsibilities:

  • Performs work in a safe, timely, efficient and professional manner.
  • Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.

  • Prompt delivery/pick-up of customer orders.
  • Load/unload and other general warehouse duties.
  • Ability to learn production; including product knowledge, and inventory.
  • Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance. Maintain presentable truck appearance, warehouse cleaning.
  • Attention to detail in order to perform cycle counts as required, and following through on discrepancies as needed. Report back orders or discrepancies.
  • Ability to utilize database and inventory software.
  • Other special projects/support as needed.

Working Conditions

The Delivery Driver position is located in a working distillery. Warm to cold temperatures are common. Hours may vary from morning to evening, weekdays and weekends, based on production schedules and special events. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Job Description:

The Program Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of a new product launch of spirits into the music and entertainment industry. The person will serve as the primary point of contact for distribution relationships. Projects include development of new and existing distribution channels. The Project Manager will take projects end to end from original concept through final implementation, and monitor and drive project performance by implementing Project Management best practices.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Grow and manage spirits distribution channels. Lead projects from concept through implementation. Act as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Use established project management processes and methodologies to ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet high quality standards and Leadership expectations using the appropriate tools.
  • Meet with internal customers of an assigned project to provide status updates and reports and gather project-related feedback.
  • Responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Track performance, service levels and other metrics required to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Who we want on our team:

We seek a friendly, outgoing and organized general manager, who is a highly capable self-starter. This individual will take responsibility for the Ballard and Capitol Hill location P&L, sales, inventory, and the overall experience of both retail locations. They will interact directly with customers and lead the retail teams of HDC to create an outstanding and memorable customer experience. This individual will possess strong communication, leadership and organizational skills, as well as a passion and ability to exceed customer expectations.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of both the Ballard and Capitol Hill Tasting Rooms, On-Site Special Events, Production, Operations, Programs, and Compliance.
  • Assume accountability of location specific Profits and Losses.
  • Create a performance culture.
  • Hire and train personnel with guidance and support from department leads.
  • Achieve assigned sales goals for both retail locations and keep track of inventory. Continue to look for ways to generate and improve sales and be a Leader in the Industry.
  • Upload sales reporting weekly and input end of the month inventory for compliance.
  • Serve as the Safety Committee Lead. Enforce set standards for daily site conditions.
  • Coordinate with Tasting Room Managers, Special Events Lead and Retail Production Assistant on published employee work schedules.
  • Manage banking deposits, payroll preparation, and product ordering.
  • Ensure both locations consistently meet our standards for cleanliness and appearance. Immediately report any maintenance issues and work with subcontractors to ensure building needs of both locations are met.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a retail leadership position preferred.
  • Ability to represent HDC in a professional manner, both in writing and in person.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and service oriented work environment.
  • Obtain MAST 12 Pouring Card and Food Handler’s Permit for WA State.

Working Conditions:

HDC is a working distillery. Conditions can range from warm in the summer to cold in the winter. Hours may vary from morning to evening, weekdays and weekends, based on production schedules and special events. Special events may take place off site in varying conditions.

Physical Requirements:

It is expected that the person in this position can tolerate standing for long periods of time and have the ability to lift moderately heavy boxes and carry them up and down stairs. When assisting with production, the tasks may be repetitive in nature.

Job Purpose:

The Bottling Staff works directly with the Director of Production, Director of Operations, and the Lead Bottler. The Bottling Staff deals with filling, packaging, and quality control of all HDC spirits. Our production is diverse and growing and requires a strong support staff and understanding of the daily operations within and outside of the distillery. An ideal Bottling Staff is flexible and knowledgeable regarding the many different aspects of production as well as of our company. Work days will consistently include Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week, allowing for 4 day weekends. There may be times when an ‘on-call’ status is necessary, or work on other days is necessary, due to high production demands.

  • Takes part in production operations for the process of distilling including handling raw materials, mashing, fermentation, and cleaning regiments.
  • Participates in the process of distilling vodka, gin, and whiskey and ensures quality control and flavor profiles meet HDC’s standards.
  • Has knowledge of production processes and how and when all equipment is used.
  • Gains general knowledge of all recipes and flavor profiles for each spirit.

  • Learn and execute all aspects of daily operations, tasks, and safety measures that take place within the distillery.

  • Fill all casks belonging to our Cask Club program at the guidance of the Director of Cask Club, the HDC Seattle General Manager, or the Ballard Production Lead.
  • Custom bottle Cask Club orders in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and monitor all product on the Spirits Growler Line.
  • Oversee and complete daily and monthly reports and requirements for the Inventory Management System.
  • Fulfill Tasting Room and Production duties as needed.
  • Transfers product and materials from HDC Ballard to HDC Capitol Hill location.

  • Proofing/gauging experience with calibrated hydrometers and thermometers preferred.

  • Experience driving machinery, including a forklift, preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the process of distilling vodka, gin, and whiskey and ensures quality control and flavor profiles meet HDC’s standards.
  • Interfaces with Production Leadership to coordinate the production schedule with Distillers, Production Assistants, and Bottling Staff.
  • Runs the bottling line and ensures all quality control check points and standards are met.
  • Enters all Production Work Orders and Transfer Orders into Inventory Management System and follows up on the completion of these Orders.
  • Oversees data collection and confirms that it was recorded correctly.
  • Accurately records all case codes.
  • Works with the Inventory and Receiving Coordinator on receiving materials and supplies.
  • Conducts end of month in-bond inventory and updates Monthly Production Summary Sheets.
  • Precisely uses proofing and gauging instruments to dump/blend all products.
  • Ensures all Cask Club member’s barrels are filled correctly and accurately recorded.
  • Has knowledge of production processes and how and when all equipment is used.
  • Complete other special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment that promotes efficiency and safety.

This is a full time customer service position. Duties range from serving tasting flights to customers and educating them about our products to restocking and cleaning. A friendly and helpful attitude is necessary. Evening and weekend shifts included. Current MAST certification and Food Handling Certificates are also required as well as the ability to use a point of sale system and to lift 50 pounds. You must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for this position.
