Happy National Mojito Day

Every July 11th is the day to celebrate the Mojito! One of the best, cool, refreshing, summertime drinks ever invented! mojito garnish 502 Created as a relief to those hot Havana nights, the Mojito is an amazing drink. Mojito comes from the term 'mojadito' which is Spanish for 'a little wet'. Brought to popularity by Ernest Hemmingway and more recently Johhny Depp this is a drink not to be missed on a hot summer night! A traditional Mojito, coming from Cuba, uses Rum. But we have our own special twist:

The Vodka-Jito
1.5oz Batch No. 12 Vodka
.5 oz Lime juice
1t sugar
5 mint leaves
Club soda

In a glass, muddle sugar and mint leaves. Fill glass with ice. Add vodka. Top with club soda and stir! Garnish with mint and lime. Drink, cool down. Yum!

And one of my personal favorites: Mojito raspberry 500 The Raspberry Vodka-Jito
