If you have to skip the trick or treating, but are still a kid at heart go straight to planning an adult Halloween party. Bring out the pumpkins and the candy corn- you may find it to be one of the best parties you’ve ever hosted!
For a little bit classy and a little bit spooky try making a scrumptious red velvet cake, take out one slice and leave a giant knife ‘stabbed’ into the top! Another fun idea is to freeze water inside a rubber glove. After it is frozen cut off the rubber, rinse it off and use it as creepy ice in the punch bowl! Try using a giant pumpkin for an ice bucket- simply carve the pumpkin and make the top opening large enough to fit a bowl full of ice.
But really, the best thing about adult Halloween parties is having some fun with your cocktails.
Here are a few of our favorites:
Casper the Peachy Ghost
1 oz HDC Sweet Ghost Pepper Vodka
2 oz Peach Tea
serve over ice
Assuming Casper was old enough to drink, he’d definitely be sippin’ on this. The heat from the Sweet Ghost Pepper vodka pairs perfectly with the sweetness from the peach tea for a combination so tasty it’s scary. Boo!
Everyone knows the Bloody Mary is hands down the best fall drink for tailgates, watch parties and Sunday brunch. Serve yours up with a choice of vodka for a one of a kind creation. Best enjoyed in a dark bathroom while saying Bloody Mary 3x in the mirror…not really, but if you want to try it, we won’t judge.
1 oz HDC Lemon Vodka
2 oz Blackberry Izze soda
Garnish with lemon
Don’t let the name scare you off. This seasonal drink offers the perfect punch of tart with a touch of sweet. This is probably the only time you’ll find yourself fearlessly holding a black widow.
2 oz HDC Vanila Vodka
1 oz Berry soda (we love Sipp organic sparking soda- Mojo Berry!)
Sip over ice or use a double sized shot glass
Pucker up with this sweet and tangy concoction that boasts a mouth watering flavor bound to leave you wanting more. A little kiss never hurt anyone, yet.
And of course – get rid of bobbing for apples. How about you bob for HDC mini bottles of whiskey, gin or vodka. Set up a mixing station and have a contest where people create the tastiest cocktail out of whatever spirit they plucked out of the water. This ain’t no kids Halloween party…
Cheers to a spirited Halloween everyone!
